Gay Mormon in Utah

T-minus a few days and this gay Mormon guy will be living in Utah! I am totally stoked, if I could just secure a job I would be all set. Thanks to my dear friends who I will be renting a room from for a month, I am able to have a better chance at finding work. Freedom, culture and gay Mormon boys or bust!

I am sad to leave behind my parents, especially when I have been a sort of live in caregiver for my grandma. It will be sad not being able to go to my mom and dad, just to be with them. However, I am more than ready for some freedom and space for my true self to grow without the restrains of familia pressure. I will be on my own, able to date at my leisure and build my post college life.

Attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can be on my own timing and desire. No pressure to go to church just because my mom and dad go too. No sneaking around to go out on dates. No lying about where I am going or who I am going to see. I can finally be myself—true and fully.

The Mormon, and gay Mormon culture in Utah might be one the most appealing aspects to living in Utah. I am able to finally met people I have only socialized with online for years. I can become a part of the community I have heard of and known since my coming out and blogging infancy. Meeting fellow MOHO's is definitely something I look forward to.

Can you tell I am thrilled? Lots still to be done in order for this to all work out, but I am putting my trust in God, my gut and fate. Next time I blog, I will be living in Salt Lake City, Utah!

    1. Hey Moderator, I've heard from Church Members that the Avenues has some really nice gays :)

    2. Bwahaha right? Funny thing is, for the next little while I am living right next door to the Avenues. Beware of those homosexuals, right?
