Dear Mission President

  1. Nice voice. I think its a good choice to be honest. However, unless you want to invite calls to repentance from your Mission President, I would suggest you take out the part about not repenting.

  2. Very heartfelt - I think you should send it. Whether he receives it in the spirit in which it is intended is entirely up to him and is no reflection on you.

  3. I agree with Mister Curie. If you believe the church is true, and you know that you are gay, and presumably believe that God is OK with all of that, then there is no reason to repent. Just because the church hasn't been able to reconcile homosexuality yet, doesn't mean that it won't in the future. I have come to the conclusion that there isn't any reason why someone cannot be gay and partnered and go to the celestial kingdom. There simply isn't any good or doctrinal argument against this.

  4. Telling the truth is always the best. However, you might want to add something like, "I need your suggestion on what shall I do. I believe this is the true church, but I have problem with repenting."

  5. @ Curie - I want it to be in there because I want him to know where I am. Whether he calls me to repentance or not, I don't care. But if I am going to tell him about me, I wanna share it all.

Thanks about the voice... I had always been self conscience about my voice when i was younger. As you can hear I've out grown that fear lol.

@Abelard - Thanks. I feel the same. He is going to have his thought no matter what I say.

@Devin - I never told him I wanted to repent. I suppose you haven't read my stance on the church, cause that would help you understand where I am right now.

@Joned - I don't really want his suggestion. I don't want to repent. This is just telling him where I am, not to seek his advice. Even though he will most likely respond with his advice lol.

  6. Tough question. I sometimes worry what my mission president would say if he asked me if I were dating anyone and I honestly said no. He'd tell me to get on it, I'm sure. And I would probably just smile and brush it of. We have a great deal of mutual respect, and I know he'd be willing to talk to me about it, but I don't think it's necessary for me at this time. Good luck!

  8. @ Drew- It's not for everyone. I just felt like I wanted to share it with him. No particular reason for telling though.

    @ J Rich - hahaha fate?
