I really found a lot of the talks this past conference personally touching and very pertinent to me and my current struggles.

I did love Holland's talk on the Book of Mormon, but then, Holland has always been a favorite of mine.

I also really loved Oak's talk, and found it the most personally touching.

Last but not least MoTAB. I love ya so much, your music is inspiring and deeply ingrained with the spirit, but can we please not hear the same songs every conference.

Pick so other songs out of the hymn book. The stellar performances you give of the Mormon classics, are losing power when you sing them every 6 months.

  1. Quinn, I also like Elder Holland's talk. Pres. Monson's talk on anger was also good as was Elder Watson's on temperance.

I did love the choir's rendition of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." It has become my favorite.

I think I was more prepared to 'hear' the word than I have been in a long time. It was a very good weekend for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  2. But- you know- nobody can do "come come ye saints" like the motab's. Gotta love those blue dresses.

  3. I was really impressed with Elder Oaks talk and also Elder Hollands talk. I really think that Elder Oaks said some things that needed to be said. I loved that he emphasized that yes God loves us but that we can't ever allow ourselves to delude ourselves into thinking that that love condones things that go against His laws. What I really was impressed with was how well it fit with what Pres Uchtdorf had said in the morning session. I think those two talks could be companion talks.
