One week from today, I will be living in downtown Portland. I will be setting off on a voyage of education, self discovery, and personal growth.
Before I embark on the journey of mine, I wanted to make a list. A list of things I want to accomplish. They may be related to finding out who I am, and what I am made of. They may be risks that I normally would not take. They may also be a leap of character and faith. Most of all, they will all be to better who I am, and get me closer to what I want to become.
1- Explore the city at least once a week.
2- Make at least 2 life long, true and genuine friends.
2a- Not be afraid to let people be my friend.
3- Talk to someone new every week.
4- Not be afraid of who I am, namely the fact that I find men attractive.
5- Work on my relationship with my Heavenly Father.
6- Say yes to something I would normally say no to, once a week.

7- Try out for a play.
Good list. Tell us how it is going. I can tell you the making of life long, genuine friendships takes a lot of work. I have several very good friends from high school who I have managed to stay up with. But it's a fair amount of work. It's easy when you live far apart and are all busy to loose contact. Have a great adventure my friend.
ReplyDelete8- Go have dessert at Papa Haydn
ReplyDelete9- Saturday market and eat elephant ears.
10- Dragon boat festival in June.
11- canon beach & starfish
Have so much fun!
I had a lot of those same goals (minus the same sex attraction bit.) Be kind to yourself. Big changes are a big deal. Take a few umbrellas.
